Deep Down

by Mass Murder   Jul 22, 2004

Not as pretty as the rest
Most people just guess
she's a mess
But that's simply
Look at me and I'll look at you.
My beauty my not show
So dig deeper that's the way you must go.
And maybe you'll see
How beautiful I may be
I love I laugh I say hello
I sleep I dream I'm like Jell-O
Back and forth
I may go.
Please don't judge me by what you see
But first get to know me
And then you'll know
My beauty does show
But deep inside you must go

I really, really liked this poem. I loved the meaning and the depth. It is very true, beauty is deep inside and sometimes people only skim over the surface looking for it and never go any deeper. It is sad they way people judge one another. I really like how you wrote it in your poem and expressed it. Great job.
