What I Wish I Could Say

I pound these keys to prove a point,
A point that will never be heard,
I write of how I hate this place,
And how this life is so absurd,
The rain is falling fast and hard,
On this hard surface that I lie,
I ask and hope for a miracle,
That this pain will just subside,
The tears are inching down my cheek,
As I sit and write these thoughts,
There's something here I'm missing,
There's something I've forgot,
These voices are getting louder,
I just wish I could speak my mind,
But every time I try to tell them,
There's no words left to find,
I live my life with regrets,
I never leave behind my past,
So when people try to talk to me,
Conversations never last,
I'm paranoid about everything,
There's so much unexplained,
I'm sick and tired of this life,
And how my perfection's stained,
I try so hard to stay in line,
But I can't help but fall apart,
I wish that I could fix everything,
But I don't know where to start,
They push me and they shove me,
To where I break down and cry,
They yell at me for being this way,
But they don't know how hard I try,
These tears are bleeding their way,
Down into places unknown,
I want to run to somewhere,
But there's no place I call home,
Won't somebody notice,
Isn't there someone that can see?
It looks as though I'm missing,
Everyone's forgotten about me,
I clutch my fist real tight,
And I grab the razor on the desk,
I push and scrape as hard as I can,
Until I've overcome this stress,
This is where my phrases end,
I seem to be spilling way too much,
People here are thinking I'm crazy,
And I know I'm losing my touch …
