COMING HOME

COMING HOME

Lord, I miss my baby,
I miss her day and night,
it won't be very long,
till I can hold her tight,
I want to wine and dine her,
show her all around,
I want to have her with me,
till I'm buried in the ground,
lord tell her that I'm on my way,
that I'm coming home,
there I'll stay forever,
never more to roam,
make her bright eyes sparkle,
make her smile both big and wide,
keep her heart loving me,
until I am by her side,
it wasn't very long ago,
I had to go away,
to a lonely battle field,
where I had to fight and pray,
with all of this behind me,
when I am going home,
just to find the lady,
that I claim for my own,
I will always keep her with me,
no matter where we go,
inside my heart forever,
because I love her so,
keep your love alive for me,
no matter what you do,
I am coming home,
to claim my TERRIE SUE.
