SILENT HEART

SILENT HEART

I asked my heart, just what was wrong,
because I hadn't heard, it's sweet lovesong,
it told me why it was so blue,
it said, it wanted only you,
and that you were so hard to win,
so I told it to try it's luck again,
the time rolled along, and I grew old,
my love for you as pure as gold,
but still my heart is very blue,
still trying to win your love so true,
I won't let it quit trying to win,
having your love is not a whim,
won't you hear it's mournful plea,
and tell it that, your love's for me,
so I can hear it's sweet lovesong,
thats been missing for so long,
and when I hear it's sweet refrain,
I'll know our hearts feel just the same,
that our two hearts, beat as one,
and that our love has just begun,
that it will last through eternity,
me for you, and you for me.
