I pray

I count my blessing,
And I thank the lord.
He has given my life
Such a great reward.

“Father above me,
with love I do ask,
please help me and guide me,
with each of life’s tasks.”

“Lord
I truly, truly pray,
That my parents and my guiders will be with me,
Everyday”

“My mother and father,
are such great teachers,
They have taught me to love,
All of my Lord’s creatures.”

“The friends I’ve meet,
I am so grateful,
They listen, and talk,
And teach me not to be hateful.”

“My role models, have shown me,
and taught me as well,
That if I put my dreams and goals to work,
I will excel.”

“The community at church,
Yet small it may be,
I thank you God for giving me,
People who help me clearly see.”

“At school, I can read and write,
Which allows me to learn,
I couldn’t understand you,
Your love my might not have a chance to earn.”

“I have been given
The things I need,
Plus the one’s I want,
So Lord, please help me so them I do not greed.”

“A roof over my head,
Things to clothe my soul,
A cup to drink my water,
My food inside a bowl.”

“Dear lord,
Thank you for all you bestow.
I am truly grateful,
For you to be above, and me to be below.”
