“Would you like to be a princess?”
And wear a pretty hat,
I asked,
And we became friend just like that.

You where always shy,
And I was always loud.
You wanted to be alone,
But I loved the crowd.

You were competitive,
And couldn’t stand to lose.
I’d rather shop then play those games,
In fear of messing up my shoes.

We could never agree on styles of life,
When we were young.
You didn’t care when people talked,
But I’d jump up as soon as the phone had rung.

I guess that you could say,
Over the years we changed,
You went left, I went right
Our friendship was eventually exchanged.

Now, I see you in the halls,
With our old friends,
I wanted more, and you wanted less,
Because of this it ends.

My friends go shopping,
And get all the boys,
We are always listened to,
And make a lot of noise.

Your group,
I guess you call it.
Doesn’t talk to anyone,
It looks as if your friends have quit.

So I am sorry,
For this end,
Our life’s weren’t meant to be.
But I will always remember you as my first best friend.
