There’s a girl,
She’s a pain.
She loves herself
She is so vain.
She loves her hair,
Her looks, her wealth
She is fully up herself.
Looking in the mirror
Is her joy
She loves herself
More than she loves her boy.
The problem is
She doesn’t realize.
Her arrogance
Behind her lies.
But then one day
Her happiness ended
The truth was out
And she was offended
She was up-herself
Everyone knew
She was dumped
By her boyfriend too.
Everyone hated her
Teachers, friends and even more
She lost the good reputation
That she had before.
Her life was over
She was mentally dead
She was totally messed up
In her head.
There is only one person who likes her,
The rest are full of hate,
She was the one who liked her
It was part of her fate.
She looked in the mirror
At herself
And thought:
“I’ve still got my looks and wealth
I’ve got my eyes,
My money’s there,
I’ve still got my perfect build
And my perfect hair.”
By anyone else
That wasn’t thought, nor said
The truth was
It was all in her head.
Every night
By the mirror she sat,
Eating chocolate
Until eventually she became fat.
But she saw past it
Although she was still ‘uncool’,
She still thought
She was beautiful.
Her social life was gone
She exercised, no more
Her life was lacking
Anything it had before.
She’d be sad
When she was teased,
But looking in the mirror
Made her pleased
She lived alone
She barely ever spoke.
She didn’t snap out of it
Until her mirror broke.
She gained enough confidence
And rang an old friend
And told her
That being vain was at an end.
Another chance
She was given
And by all her friends
She was forgiven.
She was so glad
About the mirrors crack
It had put her life
Back on track.
She met a guy
His name was Barry
Two years later
They did marry.
Now, when she looks
Back on her past,
She remembers
The two years it did last.
She learnt her lesson,
The hard way
And the two years
Were lost away.
Every mirror she sees
Fills her with pain.
She only wishes
That it won’t happen again.
Her self she no longer loves
Nor hate,
She likes herself
That’s her fate.
