The tide

by NICKOLAS ELGERT   Jul 24, 2004

As each day draws near
Fills my head with fear
Fear of what you might say

I am putting myself in a vulnerable way.
By meeting you on this day
I have never been to this place
But I look forward to seeing that smile on your face

As I look at this tide
I think of you
And wish you were at my side
To show you the many things that I see
And tell you what its like to be me

To relax with you and have a drink
T just look at you and slowly think
Talk about things in the past
And this time I will not move fast
I will take my time
Sending countless hours making a rhyme

But I hope you smile at me and me the same
Because I am tired of this single game
Being single is no fun
And I cant wait until I find the one

To be there by my side
As we watch the tide
