My Exsistance

Unsteady has my life been.
Many things have come to pass,
But words cannot describe the things I’ve seen.
I’ve been…

Lost.
With no where to go.
No happiness to give,
No dignity to show.

Blind.
Unable to see,
The truth of life that quietly slips past me.

Unsure.
Of what lies ahead.
What path do I take?
Where will I be lead?

Doubtful.
Of what dreams are,
What meaning do they bring?
Will they come true if I wished upon a star?

Daunted.
By memories of the past.
What effect will they have on me?
Will they cease to last?

Judged.
On what and who I choose to be.
People continue to drag me down no matter what,
Why can’t they understand and just accept me for me?

I’ve fallen,
Into complete nothingness.
Enveloped in darkness,
Forever being oppressed.

Betrayed.
By people who promised to be there,
I hated them for it. They never truly cared.

Haunted.
By my dreams at night.
Bringing back pain I have been through before,
They are making me feel so fearful, it never feels right.

Forgotten by all.
No friends to comfort or love me.
No one to catch me if I stumble and fall.

Love.
I have never known,
No one’s ever been around for me to try,
I couldn’t tell you what it is for I have never been shown.

Independent.
Is what I’ve become,
Feel better that I have seen it through now,
I’m proud of everything I have done.

Despite all this I continue to carry on,
Still a little weary but happy for me,
For these experiences I’ve seen have made me so strong.

In time I’ll continue to see,
The most obscene and essential things to life,
But I hope people will understand now what its like to be me.
