Don't Laugh ...

by Unseen Exposure   Jul 24, 2004

Don't laugh because I'm different,
Or because I'm not just like you,
Don't laugh because I don't fit in right,
Because I don't act the way you do,
Don't stare because I don't look the same,
It doesn't bother me that I'm not a wonder,
Don't stare because I wasn't blessed,
Or say I'd look better six feet under,
Don't walk away because you can,
Just stay and sit a while,
Don't just turn your back and run,
Because you've never seen me smile,
Don't pretend you never knew me,
When deep down it's just a lie,
Don't pretend you never knew me,
When you turn to see me cry,
Don't act like you really care,
Then when it counts, turn me away,
Don't fake a well-needed friendship,
Until a better offer comes your way,
Don't cry when I'm not here anymore,
And don't act like you don't know the reasons,
You damn well know I'd leave from people like you,
Because of all your falsehoods and treason's.
