Miles

by Sarah Christine   Jul 24, 2004

There are times
I swear I see your face,
times when I still feel
your gentle embrace,
but reality soon strikes me,
and the memories quickly erase.
So suddenly you walked in,
my life was forever changed,
now I'm alone again,
my world so rearranged.
I know it wasn't your choice to go,
another place you had to be,
but I never imagined,
this could be so hard on me.
The connection we share,
I've never felt before,
I know that you deeply care,
I'll cherish that forever more.
With each new day that goes by,
that we will work through together,
there's no doubt in my mind,
that we will last forever.
