Conceiling the eyes (2)(a poem with two endings)

by BOB   Jul 25, 2004

Her soul vast and seen by some.
Some experienced its powerful touch.
"What is it that stands out?"I ask.
She pushes away, holds it in.
I wonder what secrets it possesses
and by what nature it is?
Good? Bad?
Na ah! Nothing like it.
Her life force, the tingle upon my hand.
Pounding hammer in my mind.
Love? Lust? Longing? I don't think so.
Only in my head appear to be so.
Oh why thus you do this to me, crazy wench!
Using you're life's energy so cruelly on a sheer mortal that I am.
You conceal you're eyes, making me ask those dramatic questions.
Maybe if you did show you're true form,
I would die.
Oh but what a death that would be,
Oh to what sin it would lead,
and what grim sweetness it would bring.
As I would scream out you're lushes name,
with a smile upon my face,
whilst I roast in the lake of fire.
----------------------------------------
2nd ending
----------------------------------------
Maybe if you did show you're true form,
I would live.
Oh what a life it would be,
Oh to what beauty it would lead
and what sweet smells it would bring
as to heavens I sing you're name
tears gush down my face
whilst I am at peace
