What shall I reply? -Part II

by Ş∂ņďħy∂   Jul 27, 2004

(Please read my poem ‘What shall I say him’ before this…. This is a continuation)

Tears grew and they are rolling down my eyes!
Yes, I am crying now; it’s not because I am sad,
But because of the ambrosial moments I just had,
‘He’ has laurelled me with such an Elysian surprise

Faith in love did not let years of wait blunt emotions
Months of prayers were answered by his few words
It made the meaning for my stay in this world
Finally, I, the river, was let to flow to my own ocean

I had doubted that our relation lost its aura
I pleaded to let me love him with no limitation
He granted all my wishes with a counter petition
Which was a proposal to be his eternal senora

It was a moment worth waiting seven lives
Blessed I am to hear it in the same life, oh thee!
I turned dumb because of an ineffable ecstasy
I needed to thank him for this, before we thrive

While I had lost myself in this jiff, so luscious
He turned back, thinking I didn’t believe his terms,
The wind blew strong and pushed me to his arms
The rose petals on the ground flew around us

All eyes were on us, while our eyes got hooked
The birds stopped chirping but our heart kept pounding
The leaves paused with the breeze but our gasps mounting
The heaven opened to bless and smilingly they looked

My eyes whispered to him, “Don’t qualm my love,
I had devoted this and every coming life, for you.
Our relation never had a name, but it grew
Today you gave its name, with this ring of love!

Oh dear, I will be your princess today and every day
Even when these petals will die, I will remain tied
With white flowers and rainbow crown, I’ll be your bride
Your words gave meaning for my never-ending stay

I will never let this smile of yours fade in stress
If life will wipe wealth from us, still joy will be rife
And if you forget to love me in the hardships of life
Fear not! This love of mine is enough for both of us

Just let me be with you, I will always love you so whole
Turning the nights to days and sorrow to joy
I’ll love you forever and with time it won’t cloy
You’ll never be alone, 'cuz if I die, you’ll have my soul.

Let me say the exact words, “Yes! I’ll marry you”

(The heaven exclaimed and showered their blessings
.The birds continued chirping wedding chorus
.The tender breeze still made the leaves to play the orchestra.
.And he kissed………………….actually we kissed!!! J)
