FISH TALE

FISH STORY

He said I'm going fishing,
in his mind he was wishing,
for a big bite on his worm,
and he began to squirm,
her eyes got a blank look,
she wanted his big hook,
she grabbed it and ran,
and ran, all over the dam,
she ran up and she ran down,
over rocks both black and brown,
with his rod in his hand,
the feeling was so very grand,
she would wiggle and wriggle,
run some, then jiggle,
he fought with a big lump in his throat,
his excitement got bigger
when he pulled trigger,
and flipped her right into the boat,
he held her up for the world to see,
he took a picture, to prove to you and to me,
that he was really fishing,
just like he was wishing,
and that he caught a walleye,
and that night, what a fishfry.
