I AM A MUSCLE ROBBER

by Harry Bryant   Jul 27, 2004

I'M A MUSCLE ROBBER

My name is something not very good,
I invaded many bodies, right where they stood,
I come in many forms, I have a lot of names,
weakness is my norm, one of my best games,
I get in the nerves of girls and boys,
I rob them of health, I rob them of joys,
I get in the nerves of women and men,
making them helpless, like babies again,
I weaken the muscles in their legs and their arms,
I pay no attention to none of their charms,
they are all equal, they are all the same,
I don't go by gender, I don't go by name,
I hit at the weak spots, where ever they are,
some get away, but they won't go far,
people have been trying, for many years,
to snuff out my life, to snuff out my fears,
they almost get me, but I slither away,
I know that they'll win, one lucky day,
my name is so scary, I'm Muscular Dystrophy,
people all over are attacking at me,
they are funded by Jerry, from money he raises,
I don't like his song, I don't sing his praises
I am a disease and I want to live,
so don't give, don't give, don't give.
