Love From A Drugstore

by Catherine   Jul 28, 2004

Now that we're done and gone
All our separate ways
I'm missing that lot
More than all the other days
Their habits and quirks
Their pros and their cons
The bad and the good
The moon right before dawn
And most of all their smiles
They just seem to fill the room
And into your heart
You don't have to assume
They're there for you
Every time every place every minute
If you need them
Can't you see them?
Every prayer every call every second
They'll be there
Do you need them there?
Thats what they do best
You know help when their called
Whether it's an emergency
Or math problem you can't solve
Just open the book
Cut the red tape
No need for pretending
Not much it's gonna take
To realize
What a great a bunch you got
You only realize
Cause their love can't be bought
And they only sell it to you
No one else, it's true
And this is the reason we live for
The reason the family we got
They're so wonderful
They're so beautiful
They're so bountiful
They're so graceful
Can't tell you how i caught
From these memories i got
They're everything
They're more than anything
They're something
I've got this thing
Called my family
They're what i got
Grandma's and Grandpa's
Aunt's and Uncles of all kinds
Tons of little cousins
And I'm sure more coming from behind
They're more than i ever asked for
They're more than i ever hoped to receive
Now forever I'm stuck with them
But i couldn't give less than a damn
Cause i got what i got
And i could never have bought
This love from a drugstore
