Forever engraved

If I wrote your name in the sand,

Along the ocean’s shore,

Would it remain engraved into the grains?

Or would it wash away,

Forever lost in its depths for eternity,

Would the cool ocean breeze hit the sand?

And blow away into the abyss,

Or would it be forever held,

The answer is to remain unknown,

Yet, day-by-day I’ll wait for that moment,

Sitting here daydreaming along the peak,

Waiting for the mist to settle down,

Forever seized with this spell of curiosity,

Wondering if one fine day…

While I wit by the open sea,

If the dream of your embrace will disappear…leaving me to cry…
