The world we live in...

by Matt   Jul 29, 2004

Every day is a blessing,
Sometimes in disguise,
We work, play and sleep
With many lows and highs.

Together we all pull thru,
Although some of us question why,
What is this world we live in,
Full of deceitful lies.

At the end of everyday
We're all grateful it is over,
We go home to our families
And pray for a four leaf clover.

What is this life we live,
Turmoil, terror and strife,
All these things we see,
Yet none of us can explain this life.

All the things we ask,
The answers we'll never know,
For all the goodness we have
Some things we never show.

One day it will be over,
Just as sharply as it begun,
And not one of us will appreciate,
The damage we have done!

Okay, I LOVE the closing line...."Not one of us will appreciate the damage we have done"....I'm not sure if you meant for there to be a hidden meaning...but it was excellent....Great job, definitely a 5!
