Stop pretending that everything is alright
You are not blind, you are blessed with sight
I have shown you the sore cuts on my arm
I have told you all about my efforts of self harm

Remember how many times you’ve seen me cry
Or that night I told you I really wanted to die
How can you ignore my anger and my pain
Or act like I am not in danger of going insane

I am hurting so very much deep down inside
You are the only person in who I can confide
So why are you choosing to turn away from me
When I keep trying to reach out with my plea

How come you act like this is so normal
And when we talk now you treat me so formal
When did you start backing away from this
And hiding away from me in your ignorant bliss

I am still the same girl that I always have been
It is just that I am haunted my things that I’ve seen
At night I cannot even close my eyes to sleep
Because the pain I feel inside is rooted so deep

I thought that you would make me feel protected
But instead you have treated me like I am infected
Do not worry yourself what I have is not contagious
So now you can stop acting so pathetically outrageous
