Life without You

by Emily Lynn   Jul 29, 2004

You were all I ever wanted
You were all I thought I’d need
But now I know that’s not the truth
I have finally been freed

I thought I was in love with you
I gave you all I had
After two long years of heartache
I am no longer sad

I finally can see you
The truth is burning bright
You are not the man I thought I loved
I can see you in the light

I used to look in the mirror
And see dull emotionless eyes
But now they sparkle green and bright
Because I no longer believe your lies

I used to be hurt
When you lied to me
But that pain is gone
And I just feel… free.
