Those hands

by Jaxs   Jul 30, 2004

A poor hungry hand reaches out
Into the infinite darkness
never asking to be there at all,
in the world of money hungry businessmen

armani suits screaming for attention

Middle aged women dressed up to be twenty again

divorce lawyers for the affairs and broken silence psychiatry

Invading the yellow taxi filled streets of unsafe drivers

the two choices pulled before your eyes

on one city street corner

Leaving limitations around every corner
this road gets smaller as you get older
no more pigtails and smiles
or red tricycles
on the warm sidewalks covered wtih games of hopscotch

It is just those hungry hands reaching out
of little children with no home to call their own
and lost childhoods of those who lived the tough life
effort and endless determination
grinding down bones and severing hearts
when those money hungry men drop their heads as they walk by
