Dear God

I know at times I doubted you
And lost trust in your plan.
I was angry and discouraged
And just didn't understand.
I thought I had all the answers.
Never before had I been so wrong.
I thought I knew better
Than what you had planned all along.
I prayed so many tearful prayers
And still nothing changed.
I thought you had forgotten about me
And all of my pain.
When all along you've listened
To everything I have to say.
You understand what I'm going through
And watch over me every day.
I am so sorry
For all that I've done.
For thinking no one cared
When really you were the only one.
I know I'm not perfect
And I'm still going to make mistakes.
But I know that I will make it
Because, by you, I've been saved.
