The Unfinished Love Poem

by Cristina   Jul 31, 2004

I don’t know if I’m ready
I look into his eyes and I leave earth for a while
His eyes meet mine, and it’s like a bomb exploding inside me.

They tell me he goes past the surface and into the core
I don’t know what to believe.
I fear the action of losing the only thing that ties me to him.

I can’t give in to temptation
But I just don’t know what to say anymore.
But is it really real?

I never knew a volcano could freeze,
With a drop of water;
Or a river stops running
With a drop of a pebble.

I created a world in my head,
In which I was his private emotion.
I desire to be everything for him,
But then again wishes are wishes,
And only one in a million come true.
