True Meaning

I was sad one day, with a broken heart,
it felt as though everything had fallen apart
I felt insecure, with not many friends,
I almost lost hope, while waiting for mends
I was mixed in emotions, so close to crying,
my mind gave up and I just stopped trying
But then you came, with a warm, loving heart,
with an angelic smile and a love for art
You brushed my tears before they came,
then drew me a flower and asked for my name
We began to talk and needless to say,
my life was just starting to have its way
A few years passed since the first day we met,
and I know that it's something I'll never regret
We became closer than honey to bees,
from the outside, the inside is more than one sees
We were there for each other, side by side,
and trusted each other, enough to confide
That day I just knew you were sent from above,
to teach the true meaning of care, trust, and love.
