Something about you

Something about you

There’s something about you that I deeply despise
For when we were together all I heard was lies

I wish that it worked out and you cared for me as much as I do you
But that just didn’t happen and the relationship got bruised

And then I tried to help you and gave you chance by chance
I can’t believe you couldn’t see it, and others could at a glance

I even tried to stay with you even though you were with her
I thought you really loved me, but now it’s all a blur

I feel so very stupid for you said it was me you wanted
I hope you know what you lost and be forever haunted

I don’t know if anything you told me was ever actually real
But now that it’s over I can begin the process to heal

There’s just something about you that I feel is very fake
You should learn how to commit to a girl and keep promises you make

I know that I hurt you and you thought this I couldn’t do to you
But breaking up with you is the only thing I could think to do

But the reason why I did it is all because of you, you couldn’t treat me right
I know that you might be sorry, but it just ain’t worth the fight
