A Sad Mother

by Angelica   Aug 3, 2004

Pictures scattered
you can see they're worn
stains of tears
from a mothers heart torn
never should a mother
see her own child die
far before her she was meant to go
if only it was a lie
then maybe this mother could continue on
living her lonely life
but she cant, she wont.
she still remembers how the police found the knife
the knife that was used
to cut her child's throat
the killer was never found
and the mother still keeps the note
that her darling little girl
had written that same day
for her mother after work
but the mother never got to say
the answer to the letter
that yes, she misses her when she's away
and now its even worse
she misses her each day
the pain so deep it kills
and the mother can barely make it
without her child life is pointless
so the mother will just sit
alone in the very same spot
where her child was found
where all the pain started
and where her end is bound
the mother no longer suffers
without her precious baby
because she took her own life
just so maybe
|she would have the chance to see her daughter once more|
