This Is What You Made Me

by Amy   Aug 3, 2004

See these eyes
Lifeless, blank, empty
The tears fall
And drop to the floor
A window to the soul
Like a open book
You absorb my every thought
And breathe me within

But as the blood flows
Like roses so red
You turn your back, once again
Leaving me here
To bathe in the moonlight
To submerge in loneliness
So overpowering
As i fall victim to its trap
I cannot breathe now
Surroundings faded and torn
Like my heart deep within

Like my screams in the night
That run chills down your spine
But yet again
You walk away
Away from me
When I'm standing here
Offering u my heart
in the palm of my hand

Our eyes meet
And for a minute
Just one minute
Out of an eternity
You see me
The real me
The girl no1 understands
The girl left alone
And for that one minute
You understand me
And my world

But it doesn't last
As nothing ever does
Like trying to freeze a moment
Or catch a falling star
Never meant to be
I see you walk away
Like I'm nothing but dirt
I mean nothing
I am nothing
This is what Ive become
Alone in the dark
This is what u made me
