great poem, the rhyming scheme works to your advantage!

I liked the rhythm and your vocabulary, as it is constantly challenging me to figure out just what the heck you are talking about. ;-) so would you mind telling me what a sable is? Because the only thing the dictionary says is that it is some promontory of southern Nova Scotia. Nice rhyming though, the only strange thing I found was "era of lone". It just doesn't sound very natural to me. Good poem though.
