A loving memory shared

Oh what a day it was
when i heard the news
Oh how i cried the blues

Ill never forget the heartache
I never thought a person could feel so much pain
It felt like my heart had been crushed by a train

Within a week i was reliving all the drama again
Oh how we all cried
Trying to be strong for his sake; we tried

After a year later i feel so proud
to be a sister of an US Army Solider
to lead me in the right path it as if hes standing on my shoulder

No one would have ever thought
that the one they called a zero
would soon be their hero

So many stories we where told
so many memories we shared
So many times he showed he cared

Of all the places hes honored
no one can really see
how much he really means to me

I now have an overwhelming sense of pride and love
for a big brother that really paid the price
and gave his life never thinking twice
