In the eyes of the beholder

Little girl blue, come work your charm
It will keep you safe from harm
You will find refuge behind the words
Always be spoken and never be heard
Soon I will take thee far away
Safe from the blinding light of day
I'll be your guide to the future you seek
Follow my voice, child, so feeble and weak
You will be rocked in the cradle of night
Never again to be strangled by the light
Close your eyes and open your mind
Though it may frighten you, what you will find
Truth is not beauty, nor beauty truth
Adulthood is just an extension of youth
Nothing we do is ever left in the past
It rushes to prey on us, hungry at last
Quickly, we must go, come now, give me your hand
For the sunrise is near, and your word will not stand
Your veil is wearing thin, they will soon see through you
You can't lie anymore, not even when you want to
Come back to the darkness, it's where you belong
It will only be us there, for shame is not wrong
If it causes you to spew deception and lies
Those whom you care for most will reap your bloodshot eyes
Let me hold you, my dear, it is I who was there
When you first got your wounds, it was I who gave you care
They're trying to take you from me, to tear us apart
But though they may save your mind, I'll always have your heart.

This one is good. I can relate on when you want somebody to be there and not ditch you but also be a protector when your weak and others are out to get you. Anyways, I'll keep what you said in mind.
