Another to my Mom

by Sierra Rae   Aug 7, 2004

Why does “I love you” bring tears to my eyes?
Why when I think of you, do I need to cry?
Why can't we go one day without a fight
Even if it determined the rest of our lives.

If it determined the rest of our lives
Than could we act like friends, and manage to get by
Or would we argue and disagree
Because you is you and I am me

You are you, and I am me
And neither of us likes what in the other we see
Is it possible for us to just accept
That we don't agree with the other's concept?

We refuse to accept each other's concept
How could our lives ever really connect
I wish for one day happiness could spread
But I believe it's too late, for that last chance is dead.

wow...thats really good...you should call it "that last chance is dead" or "its too late" using the last line of your poem is good for a title! i usually do it like that...anyway...you've got great talent sierra and you should definatly keep writing!

I already have a poem called broken mirror and I don't see how that would go with it...hmm.

  • Thats a great poem. Even i used have arguments with my mom. BUt i miss her a lot, now a days... I even miss the worst fights! Great poem dear...I really loved it.
