Empty Needle

by craig   Aug 8, 2004

Lying on the bathroom floor
stareing into outer space
problems swirl like cigar smoke

Night, numb, alone in the house
whispers from the next room
strange noises under the floorboards
shadows moving in the gloom

Music playing in my ear
disjointed, distorted and out of key
saliva oozing, corner of my mouth
icy shivers, sweats envelope me

The view from inside is cold and blank
a vacant shell, a f**king mess
devoid of movement or sensibilitys
a tormented soul, longing for rest

I want to fly fly away
through fluffy rainbow clouds
swooping and soaring on a warm breeze
rushing wind the only sound

Lying on the bathroom floor
unblinking, whites of my eyes
getting up is hard with a sh*tty life
when hope fizzles, flickers and dies
