Alot of people have sent e-mails to me asking if I myself actually do have a daughter and the truth is I don't. The reason I wrote this poem was because I used to take care of my cousin when she was really little and looking back on my relationship with her, I was often more like a dad to her than a cousin or a friend. So in this poem I tried to imagine what it would be like if I had a little girl and this is what I came up with.
