Non-Existent (Time)

by Zachariah Jones   Aug 9, 2004

Time is a jewel that is easily misplaced
Ending up getting lost due to haste
Nothing but a life of hurry and fury
Leaves me writhing in utter misery
Clinging onto the smell you left behind
Without you I feel like I’m blind
Lost to this world of pain and agony
Enslaved to my emotions, no longer free
Everyday I try to change the wealth that I hold
With every passing moment, I’m growing old
Becoming dead to the world that is outside
No longer able to hide what I am feeling inside
Grasping a hold of the frailty that encompasses me
I try to break away from this bitter and harsh reality
Every day when I awake from welcoming slumber
It seems more and more I am prone to blunder
Trying hard to dispel all these paranoid feelings
Hearing about these miraculous and awesome healings
As I feel myself drifting deeper and deeper into insanity
I slowly accept the fact of this twisted and broken reality
No longer running away from what seems to be twisted
Finally accepting that this perfect life has never ever existed
