A Daughter Of God

by blowakiss4u   Aug 10, 2004

She walks up tall as a daughter of God.
She is steadfast, never letting go of the rod.
She picks those she meets on her way
Being kind enough to stop and say:

You can do it, just keep being strong.
If you hold to the rod, little will go wrong.
I'll help you if in despair is where you lay,
For I want to live with you and Him again someday.

I am one of those she has picked up.
She thought of me as a half full cup.
She took my hand and helped me on my way.
She made an impression I still have today:

You can do it, just keep being strong.
If you hold to the rod, little will go wrong.
Ill help you if in despair is where you lay,
For I want to live with you and Him again someday.

Now best friends, never wanting to part.
I see that she has one of the biggest hearts.
Making me laugh or cry; filling my days with glee.
The words she said when she picked me up are still with me:

You can do it, just keep being strong.
If you hold to the rod, little will go wrong.
Ill help ypu if in despair is where you lay,
For I want to live with you and Him again someday.

No friendship can beat hers, no friend can come close.
Only she can calm my fears beside Jesus and the Holy Ghost.
I love her, I miss her, Ill hold her dear.
I am so thankful for Olivia, whose words Ill always hear:

You can do it, just keep being strong.
If you hold to the rod, little will go wrong.
Ill help you if in despair is where you lay,
For I want to live with you and Him again someday.
