Can You Imagine

Can you imagine a world where people,
are afraid to speak their minds.
A world where people are beaten and raped,
behind the stillness of closed blinds.

Can you imagine a world where people,
are starving on the streets.
While other people take their fill,
and leave the rest to rot at their feet.

Can you imagine a world where killers,
walk among us everyday.
While innocent people are placed behind bars,
the key to the cell thrown away.

I can imagine,
about this world that I say.
For its the world we all live in,
the world of today.

A world where rules are bended,
and people fall between the cracks,
a world where nothing matters,
except the cold hard facts.
