I see you at night
When my eyes are shut tight
And often at times
In the days bright light.

They're images of you
When we were together.
Before we broke-up,
And you went after her.

Sweet, precious memories,
And dreams of new friendships
Make me the happiest
To think they exist.

I picture us together
Laughing night and day.
"I'm so glad we're friends"
Is what I hear you say.

I see us at school
Smiling and having a good time,
Our relationship now
Being worth more than a dime.

I dream of a friendship
So sweet and true
Nothing in the world
Could make me feel blue.

We hang out all the time
Forgetting about the past
A new friendship with you
I have found at last.

I then snap back to reality
And realize it's just a dream
That there's probably nothing left
Between you and me.

Although this may be true
I'll still sit and pray
That we'll once again be friends
One sweet day.
