Please Hear my Prayer

by Jamie   Aug 11, 2004

Lord, please hear my prayer,
I'm falling and am in despair,
I feel as though alone, I must cry,
For I sometimes wish that I could die,
I got myself into this,
But now I ask for just one wish,
I look to you, with one demand,
Please, Lord, lend me your helping hand,
Give me a chance, hear my plea,
I can't do this on my own; you see,
I've tried it once or twice before,
I give up, I can't try anymore,
But before I give up and face the end,
I look to you, my gracious friend,
You know my heart, you know my mind,
To each problem; a solution you find,
So help me along this bumpy road,
For me alone, it's a heavy load,
I'm one of your children in desperate need,
So plant in me your loving seed,
Feed my mind, body, spirit, and soul,
I fall to you, give you control,
It started off with just one pound,
Ending with me here on the ground,
Some could say that it is fair,
Considering my choices led me there,
But it is I who has the price to pay,
By having to live my life this way,
I know that I realized a little late,
That I don't want this as my fate,
So that's why I need to call on you,
Because alone, this one, I cannot do,
Lord, please try to answer my prayer,
I'm falling fast with no time to spare.

May I ask why you are posting poems that are dated so long ago? Do you still write? You should.
