Help Me TO Help Myself

by casey   Aug 11, 2004

Drag a blade across my skin
Watch everything escape from within
See the life drain from my eyes
Then begin to realize

You're going to have to force down the door
When I'm drowning on the floor
Cause you won't find out anymore
Unless you can see past the mask
I know it's such a worthless task
But learn to demand and not just ask

Don't just look make yourself see
Peer past the shell and find the real me
I'm not all smiles and rosy cheeks
Scrape off my surface and find the leaks

All I need is you to help me help myself
I'm not here to steal from your wealth
I just need help getting of the shelf
Cause the droops too high to do it alone
We all know about the gravity zone
I can't fly over it on my own

But until the day you understand
I'll give you all a helping hand
It's better that you find me dead
Than hear everything that has to be said
