The Real Me

by Angela   Aug 12, 2004

When you see me in the hall
And you gaze into my eyes,
You can see all my true sadness
Without seeing my cries.

Somehow it seemed
That you could feel my every pain,
Like you could see into my mind
That has been flooded by heavy rain.

I thought I hid my sadness
From everyone around me,
But somehow you know about it
How in the would can you see?

I never fall to the ground
Or run away from my feelings,
But you still see the truth in me
And you may possibly find it appealing.

I dont exactly see what you like in me
How can you like this?
I must be lost somewhere in this equation
When I'm gone, you say I'm the one you miss.

I still dont understand it all
But maybe this is how it was supposed to be,
You're the only one who can look inside
And find the real me.
