Back To School Once Again

by Bryce Ellner   Aug 12, 2004

So many new people this year
So many old enemies too.
And the few friends that I had,
Seem distant and untrue.

She's going to be there too.
I'll have to remember that every day.
I'll have to see the one who broke my heart.
I might even have to talk to her, knowing not what to say.

Brand new teachers as well,
Very few that I know.
Makes you wonder if they're nice or mean.
Makes me wonder if I really want to go.

I thought I wanted to,
Theres nothing to do really at home.
But now I'm having second thoughts.
Right now I'd just like to be alone.

My mother says it's nothing,
That I'll get along like always.
I really want to believe her,
So I guess I better find a way.

I don't know what's going to happen,
But thats the fun of it all I guess.
And after all is said and done,
I'll still be me, nothing more, nothing less.
