Silently she entered the room;
Arriving with her, my pending doom;
I sensed neither, feeling only content;
I would never have suspected her growing contempt.
Hidden in shadow, knife in hand;
She wished to strike me down where I stand.
I couldn't dodge the blow she dealt,
It was unlike any other I had ever felt;
Through my back, piercing my heart,
Extinguishing The Fire she loved to start.
With her hand she stifled my plea for mercy;
"Shh" she said, "You're not right for me."
Kissing my lips, she laid me down,
Only then did I see her lack of frown;
Upon her face was a smile,
That I hadn't seen in quite a while;
I guess it's okay that she stabbed me
Just as long as it makes her happy.
