GANGS

by Raven   Aug 13, 2004

Kids killing kids
one after another
In group of kids
they call their brothers
So much stealing and
countless rape
Girls bound with rope
and silenced with tape
Mother\'s left crying
for their little girls
The ones they remember
with ribbons and curls
A precious life
That cannot be replaced
A simple life
That can only be traced
why can\'t someone
take a stand
to stop that awful
destructive band?
And stop all the violence
suffering and pain
So no more loves
would be take in vain.
Why can\'t someone stop them all
so out children can grow
healthy and tall?

A rather enjoyable piece. The shortness of the lines makes it a speedy piece, and makes the flow all the sweeter.

You had good wording, which is always nice to see. I particularly liked

    'Girls bound with rope
    and silenced with tape'

Obviously, the lines before played their part in make it flow so well, but it was the similarities in these two lines that made it so poetic.

Well done. A piece I think you can look back on with pride.
