Running Silently

by Andrea   Aug 13, 2004

Laughing, giggles fading away from this moment
Disappearing into this delusion,
She becomes in a trance

All this becomes so unreal
The silence is ringing in her ears
What's going on? She thinks.
Turning from side to side

Everything is so blurry
Running away
Running until she's out of breath,
Maybe this pain will stop

Maybe the rumors will cease
Maybe the beatings will finally end
The smiles fade, tearing away
Now screams emerge

But she hears nothing
Everything, everything, is now gone
The people who once cared, the place she held

What is left but a memory of how she used to feel
Unordinary as this becomes for her to understand

The deals and promises she went through with lies
The burden falls within her
At the edge of a cliff

She jumps
But in her mind she holds in midair
As her body takes her back to the place where she was.

The laughing continues...
