The one question I hate
Is the question you ask me all the time
The unanswerable question
The dreadful, "Why?"

I can't answer this question
I can't tell you why
I don't wanna cause you pain
I don't wanna make you cry

So please stop asking
Because you don't wanna hear it
Trust me on this
Well, I'll tell you, if you insist

See, you and me
Were a cute couple at first
But after awhile
I felt as if I could burst

You got on my nerves
And you never took me out
All we really did
Was scream and shout

And that's not the kind of relationship I want
So I finally gave up
And found somebody else

It just wasn't working out
And I don't think it was meant to
I'm sorry if I'm hurting your feelings
But everything I'm saying is true

So move on
And get over me
Because I know you can find
Someone way better than me
