The Cabin on the Black Hill

by Andrea   Aug 13, 2004

Far away I still see
The darkness of the shadows.

Never to leave
But to stay in this haunting.

I still look and
Still feel the same cold chill.

And I know I?ll never be gone,
Trapped in my fears.

The sunset always draws nearer,
Although I never saw it even rise.

Always cloudy and dark
No stars to wish upon.
No moon for light to guide me.

Followed by my shadow
For years and years to come.

So here I stay in my little cabin
Shunned.

Doomed in loneliness.
Lost on a black hill.

No door to leave,
No windows to see.

Just my conscience to get me through.
