Memories

by anthony wright   Aug 14, 2004

I remember the way she wispers,
How she got the shivers.
I remember her being smart,
How i never wanted to part.

I remember the way she cries,
Every time she sighs.
I remember her face turn red,
As those three little words were said.

I remember holding her hand,
While we were watching the marching band.
I remember the way we tried to embrace,
The way she turned her face.

I remember the way I took a knee,
How she can be my queen.
I remember the way she smiled,
How she thought it was wild.

I remember many things,
The pain and joy it brings.
I remember never to forget,
And all I'm left with is regret.
