The Story of Bette -Part One- Transformation

by My Obsεssion   Aug 14, 2004

There once was a girl named Bette
Love and acceptance was what she set out to obtain
She was sure popularity would get her what she wanted to get;
A new way of life she would have to ordain

She wasn’t very popular nor was she really hated
More of somewhere in between
Her beauty wasn’t very highly or very lowly rated
She was just your every day, average, ordinary teen

She had a few friends that weren’t all-too popular either
But they stuck together as if by glue
And they were always there for her
They always remained trustworthy and true

But she threw all that away and pushed away from her friends
And labeled them geeks
Then she proceeded to make new ends meet ends
In just a matter of weeks

She bought clothes that fit tight
In all the right spaces
Clothes that fit right
From all the cool places

She began to wear low cut shirts to reveal what she’s got
Barely, just barely covering up anything at all
She also wore pants that were “hot”
In 3 sizes too small

She began to hang out with people who were “cool”
She was seen with all the right faces
Not only in school
But among other places

She got cooler and cooler everyday
Until she became the queen of popularity
Crushing everyone that got in her way
She became the girl that everyone wanted to be

Her boyfriend was captain of the football team
And the baseball team’s greatest batter
She seemed to be living her perfect dream
That is until it all began to shatter

One day she was at a huge party with everyone getting high
Everyone, that is, except for her because she could resist
But they’d keep asking her to just take a bit and try
And even though she refused they’d persist and insist

It was with her boyfriend
That she was finally pressured into take some of his ecstasy
It was at that moment that her control of life would end
And she’d begin living what felt like a fantasy

As much as could be predicted
She felt like she could fly
From that moment on she became addicted
And never once thought that she might die

She did anything and everything and thought it was fine
Her life began to spin wildly out of control
As she snorted line after line
And smoked roll after roll
