DREAM GIRL

DREAM GIRL

I was looking at the prettiest woman I had ever seen,
I had to pinch myself to see if she was just a dream,
she was a perfect picture, just standing there,
my heart was pounding very hard, my lungs just sucking air,
I heard her girlish laughter, it was full of joy,
somehow I had to make myself become her wonderboy,
how do I impress her, to make her notice me,
I just walked right up to her as brave as I could be,
I took her by the hand and whirled her around,
she was the greatest dancer that I had ever found,
soon we were two steppin around the hall so fast,
the way we were dancing, if forever it could last,
she was the one I'd been waiting for, to last me all my life,
she was the only one that could become my wife.
