My Rainbow

by Keri Ann   Aug 16, 2004

You completely turned my world around,
and flipped my sad frown upside-down.
My sky is a little brighter blue.
You're to blame, it's because of you.
We hid our feelings for so much time,
but now I can say that you're all mine -
the one guy who writes poems that are sappy
because he knows that it makes me happy.
I don't know what to say or what to do,
but I'm glad I won my fight for you.
What more would I ask for, what more could I get?
Still, you're surprised I haven't dumped you yet.
If you expect that, you've got the wrong girl.
I'm not the type to live in the player's world.
I can picture myself holding your hand
and loving every second that you are my man.
So believe me when I say "this time is different,"
because it is, honest, I feel so - into it.
If you don't feel the same, let me know.
Otherwise, I don't want to let you go
because in my box of crayons, you're the .:rainbow:.
